Online FTP

I have a client, they're looking for a online system where clients can login with their own individual login and upload files to a secure file folder.

The user could also download files from a "main" folder that all users would have access to.

Does anyone know of a system like that? I've been looking for hours for a good fit and I can't find one.

Of course you can replace "php" with any other serverside language.

But be very careful about security obviously.

That is if you want to give them complete control over all files like FTP.

If you want an easy way to edit the website (without understanding web design or FTP), then you could look into a CMS system. There are lots, like wordpress or joomla. The best one depends on what you want to do with it and how much control you want to give them.
