Access Flash function through Java Script

Can anyone help me to access the function in a flash file embedded in a html page through JavaScript.

never heard of anything like that, not really any good at all with javasript, and I'm not super advanced with actionscript, but have basic experience with it.

you would probably have to make an equivalent javascript function, since .swf are supposed to pretty much be uneditable once you publish them in Flash.
