DHTML Billboard Script "Stop", "Next" buttons?

Can anyone help me put a "Stop" and "Next" function in this script? I would like for the user to be able to stop on a particular story and then be able to move to the next story manually.

Any help would be appreciated or point me in the right direction and I will hack my way through it.
