How to hide/replace the coding in the caption for light box?

Sometimes when you want to add extra detail to the lightbox captions you want to style it a bit but then you don't want the person who is hovering over the image to see the coding how do you hide that? For example in the light box caption i wrote in the title...title="<h3>The new story</h3> This is a new story." but then the whole thing including the <h3> tag is shown is there a way to hide it? Or maybe replace it with other text?
