Ajax Ticker Question

3) If I leave my web page open overnight, then the next day it does not automatically refresh the data unless I hit my browser refresh button. Then the script seems to start working again. Is this the way it's supposed to work?

Do you mean it *stops* working if you leave it running overnight, or simply that it doesn't automatically update itself (refetch the contents of the ajax file) throughout the course of the night?

It just stop automatically refetching the file.
