recent rss from feed list script...... HELP!!!

I'm having a difficult time figuring out how I should go about this.. thing. I have a blog with a side list of some other blogs that I enjoy reading. I want to display a feed from the most recently updated page in a section just above the list. I've made a page with feeds to the most recent entries from all of the pages, but they're just in a list. I fear that this was basically useless, minus now having the cool script. I think I need to create a page that will automatically update with a script that has some kind of database of potential rss feeds, and then just display a feed to that page on my actual page. If anyone has a better idea, or can help me out with this, I'd greatly appreciate it.
