hide page name in address bar

Hey how do we hide the page name inthe address bar such that we just get the address as www.something.com instead of www.something.com/index.html??????????

I dont think you can (not positive, but most likely you cant), when you go to the index and type in something.com/, it should just open index without displaying "index", but any of the others it will have to show it, and it doesnt particularly matter that it hides it with index because people know that index is the default page for a site, and since its only one of however many pages you have, its not like it will matter...
