    Default Dynamic Ajax Content

    1) Script Title:
    Dynamic Ajax Content

    2) Script URL (on DD):
    http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamici...jaxcontent.htm

    3) Describe problem:

It's simply not working. I downloaded the demo and that's not working either. It seems fairly simple but the html isn't showing up in the div when i click on the link.

This script will not work locally in IE version 7 and later, not in some others (notably at least some versions, including the latest at this typing of Chrome), and perhaps not in some versions of others as well if all of the pages aren't all in the same folder (the default setup in ajaxcars.zip places the external files in a separate folder). If that's a browser and/or folder setup you're testing in, either upload the pages to a server for live testing or test in a different browser.

If it won't work for you live and you want more help:

Please post a link to a page on your site that contains the problematic code so we can check it out.

I see, I jus tested it in Firefox/Safari and it works. All of my HTML files are in the same folder as my index file and it's simply not working in the latest version of Chrome. If I continue to build this site and upload it to my server will it work in Chrome?

Does the live demo on Dynamic Drive? Of course it does, and yours will too if it works locally in those browsers you just mentioned.

I say that with 99% complete confidence. If you do have a problem in Chrome or any other browser once it is live, just give us a link to the page and we'll figure it out.

Sounds good, I'm sure it will work just fine. Thanks! I will link to my site once it's done regardless =].

There's no need to post a link to it if it's working, and many people prefer that the DD forum not come up in the search engines when folks Google for their site.

one quick question.. i have everything where i need to be and everything is working relatively fine except for one thing.

for each html that i am loading into my div there is a single line of text that always loads outside of the div in the upper right hand corner and then goes to where it's supposed to be after it's completely loaded. when that happens it sometimes leaves specks of the line of text behind.

    any way to fix that?

For that we probably do need that link to the page we were talking about.

What browser or browsers does this happen in? Does it happen on the demo page for the script on Dynamic Drive?

no, i don't notice anything like that in the demo.

the link to my website is

    www.infinitleestudios.com

this seems to happen on most browsers and platforms that I've tested on. FF, IE, Chrome, Safari in both OSX and Windows.
