    Default Where did it go?

    1) Script Title:

    2) Script URL (on DD):

    3) Describe problem:
A minute ago there was a post regaarding Dreamweaver and a DD http://www.dynamicdrive.com/style/layouts. I went to test it, and it was gone! Where?

Anyhow Dreamweaver is a super great editing tool. You should always be looking at the code, which is what drives HTML and CSS. I always work in "Split" mode which shows me the Code and the Display at the same time.

As far as that missing query is concerned: I went to the DD CSS template, Viewed>Source code and copied it, then pasted it into an HTML 5 page in Dreamweaver -- in the CODE VIEW. And it worked perfectly when connected on line to the DD links.

A Dreamweaver "template" is another story.

    Probably spam.

Are you having a specific problem?

I think I saw the thread in question; it didn't seem to be spam. Daniel suggested it was simply one of the limitations of working in Dreamweaver (basically, just as you concluded). I don't think there was anything more to the problem.

There were a number of posts recently linking to a travel site in India. The questions seemed legitimate if a bit vague, but there were two users claiming ownership of the site, both were making a lot of these type posts. I'm thinking that the thread you're talking about may have been one of them.

Or not, I don't know for sure.

    Was it this one?

If so, it had nothing to do with spam and is still there.

    Default yes

Yes that's the thread. I just wanted to respond to show how it works and how GREAT Dreamweaver is as an editing tool.

My attempted response, etc. should be deleted.

I don't see anything like that.

However, if you mean that you had responded and that your post is now missing - You should feel free to respond in that thread with your opinion(s) about Dreamweaver, as long as it includes useful advice for the person originally asking the question.

If that's what happened, you posted something like that to that thread and now it's gone, it may have been a moderator error, a glitch in the forum software, or you may have forgotten to actually submit it. I've done that, though not in a while. What used to happen was that I would be so intent on getting the post right, switching from edit view to preview so many times that once it looked right to me in preview, I forgot to actually submit it and went on to the next thing. Usually I noticed in time and was able to recover it and submit it by using my browser's back button repeatedly, but sometimes I just had to start over. Not my finest hour . . .

In any case, feel free as I say to comment in a situation like that, as long as it includes helpful advice.
