Nested sidebar menu question

3) Describe problem: The display property for the nested sidebar menu is
'BLOCK' - The BLOCK property supposedly adds a return before and after. The example for the nested sidebar menu on the dynamic drive site shows no returns, but when I put it on my site it has the returns.
