I think if you remove the alpha channel from the png it may work.
    Corrections to my coding/thoughts welcome.

PNGs with transparency do not work in IE6.

    Lots of info:
    http://www.google.com/search?q=ie6+png+transparency

You can either supply an alternative in IE6 or just ignore the browser.

This website suggests some ways to fix it, but it's complicated:

Thanks all of you for replying in my post. I already have tried google code to fix png error, even more supersleight and other jquery but nothing works. So do you guys think IE 6 is still being used?

Barely. People that are still using that I know are only using it because it works with a specific piece of outdated software.

You can see a breakdown of some users here http://www.w3schools.com/browsers/browsers_explorer.asp

If you set up google analytics on your site, or create your own logging system you can have an idea of how many of your users have IE 6.

Even if people are using IE6, they must be now used to seeing broken pages, so your site won't be surprising.
