X,Y Map Input

Hi All

Dont know if any one can help on this, I need some kind of script for a simple web page that can display a graph , that has user input capabilities, This is for a RPG and needs to display red blue or grey on a 600 x 600 grid

Same kinda thing as this guy was talking about .

canvas is the first thing that comes to mind, but I don't know enough to get you started on that. does it have to be an image? php could make this sort of thing as a table quite easily.

Thanks for the quick response, not worried about an image , just want a grid that can show dots input by the user applet!

This one has me stumped, Im not a scripter, just trying to get something simple working .
