Default Gmail MP3 player domain limitation

    Hi,

    Here's the player embed code:

    Code:
    <embed src="http://mail.google.com/mail/html/audio.swf" wmode="transparent" flashvars="audioUrl=http://sites.google.com/site/michaelmccolin/home/sample.mp3" width="500" height="27" quality="best" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer"></embed>
The player doesn't work if the MP3 file is hosted outside Google domain.
I wonder if there's a way to remove this limitation.

    Any help is greatly appreciated!

Probably not, at least without modifying the code for the player. And if it is blocked then that is intentional, so you should not try to get around this because it will be a violation of the TOS and that is not something we support. One option is to try to place your files on a google domain, if you have a way to do that. Depending on the project you might be able to get space on one of their servers such as the google code website.
