I have created a menu with background images which have been given a negative top margin in normal state, and appear fully in the hover state. It works fine in all browsers except IE7 (and earlier). In IE7, a cumulative 16 px margin is placed on each subsequent list item. ie, list item 2 has 16px, 3 has 32px, 4 has 48px, etc. I have searched for anyone with a similar problem with no luck.
