RegisterMe
I am in the process of assembling content and designing a website.
I have a password protected directory (free membership). I need a script that enables visitors to auto-register, log in, etc.
I looked at RegisterMe! Anyone used it?
Can anyone set it up for me while I'm trying to get content done?
Compensation is an option.

what is "Register Me" ? All I found was this, but it's a course management tool that focuses on k-12, not a registration script.
Do you need an actual registration and login system, or are you just looking for a way to automatically send people your password when they sign up?
You might consider posting in the Paid Work forum if you want someone to do this for you.

Visitor login-registration
I have a password protected directory and need a way for visitors to register (username and password) and login.
I am looking for a 'click here for free registration' option.
Does anyone have a script that can accomplish this?
Software that seems to fit this is available at:
eastwright.com/internet/register
I need someone weho can install this or provide a script that accomplishes this.
I am currently unable to pay anything. I'm just asking for a favor.

on this forum, you're more likely to find someone to "Help" than someone to "do it for you." I suggested asking in the Paid Help forum only because you mentioned compensation in your original post.
If you're willing to try doing it yourself, I'd be happy to offer help work through any difficulties. The particular script you found above, honestly, doesn't look very promising. When searching for something like this, I'd suggest looking for something:
1) open source.
2) current (recently updated, modern coding -for example, a good php script should use version 5, 4 is getting pretty outdated)
3) maintained (an up-to-date website with notes or contact/bug reporting info)
you might also consider using a content management system (CMS), like wordpress, drupal, concrete, etc.. Most will have user authentication and management already built-in.
