Looking for script to upload files and text

Maybe this isn't the right forum to ask... But I won't know until I've asked, right?

I am looking for a script that will allow users to upload a file and some text, which will then be stored in the db. This doesn't sound too hard, but I'd like it to be possible to upload text in an editable message field. Meaning the basic functions like fonts, sizes, color, bold, underline and such need to be available.

It is for my joomla site. So if there is a script to do the above, then that'll be the easy part (my guess). Because I'd like that only the registered users of the site are able to go to a specific upload page, where they can upload their text and a file for an image. Aside from that, I would like to be able that when they view their profile, their uploaded text and files would be listed there.

So if a user goes to the site, he'll have to login to the site to be able to view the form to upload his text and file. Then, after the upload, he can go to his profile to view only his submitted text and files. If possible, it would be nice if there'd be a way to edit his text, but if that's not possible, then that'll be okay too.

I've been looking all over the net to find an extension for joomla to do the same, but it's kinda hard. I am not sure which keywords to put in, to actually find what I need. So now, I am looking if there's another way to achieve this. Like with a normal script, then linked to the joomla users.

This way, ppl can add info to the site and I only need to gather the info from the db and put it on the site without being spammed with emails.

Is there something like this available?

Hopefully one of those will be useful. If not, I'd suggest joining the Joomla forums to ask for specific advice/help as there will be more dedicated Joomla knowledge there.

Thx for the reply, but that's just for uploading photo's in a gallery, viewable for anyone. It's not what I'm looking for. Which is rich text and photo uploading, only viewable by the users themselves. And I've already asked the Joomla forums, but no extension is there. So that's why I am asking here. To look at a combination of both. A script to to the first and then combine with the users. If the last is not possible, then I am just looking for a script to upload rich text and the images into a db.
