hai xaverius,
First of all:
you can't do login and cart script using javascript. You still need PHP or ASP to connect with the database, so you can store your user and cart history in database.

You can use the javascript or jquery only for making some effect like this one for example:

in that example you can see there's an integrated shopping cart and it's really flexible to implement in your website. But still you need PHP + database to store the information in your database.
