Conveyor belt slideshow script not smooth

So, I am running this script on a new page I am creating but I also have a featured content script, NOT DYNAMIC DRIVE, but that also runs on jQuery.

When that software changes slides, the conveyor script slows, and sometimes stops.

Is there a way to stop this from happening so that it all appears smooth.
