    i was wondering where in the code do I make the images transfer at a smother rate than just plopping the next image on the page. thanks in advance and very much appreciated for the help.

    The demo is very smooth in my browsers that support its methods. Did you change something?

    What browser(s) are you using? How large (in both dimensions and in bytes) are your images?

    ok so if you're on a mac expect a nice *plop* instead of a smooth transition on a pc. anyone know if there is a fix for this. thanks again.

    What browser are you using on the Mac? FF supports this script and runs on Mac and PC. Even the dreaded IE for Mac may work. Safari, probably not but, if it supports the opacity property, as some browsers do, the script should be able to be ported to work with it.
