$username = $_POST['username'];
$password = $_POST['password'];

//Do not include https:// in the url.
$url = "/welcome.php?".$username;

if($username && $password) {
header('location: https://'.$username.':'.$password.'@'.$url);
echo "Please provide a username and password. <a href=\"javascript:history.go(-1)\">Go back</a>.";

This code is used to enter an Apache directory and requires the username and password in the url.

This works in Mozilla and Chrome but cannot be displayed in IE.

Any ideas?
