    Default Need immediate help coding music player features in as3

    I've already designed a full page music player that will be played publicly. I just need help activating the buttons and other features. Each song has its own button with its name on it, to start playing the song and there is also a "Play All Songs" button. So I'd like to keep that capability. I just need to code them in actionscript 3.0, since my AS2 codes won't work in 3.0. In addition, here is what else I need to code, that is already part of the design.

    * pause button
    * play button (to restart only after pausing)
    * stop button
    * previous song button
    * next song button
    * loop button
    * shuffle button
    * play bar (that shows how much of the song has elapsed and how much left --- i'd love for this to have a sliding mechanism to allow the user to reverse and fast forward)
    * independent vertical volume slider
    * horizontal marquee window to show name of song whenever the "Play All Songs" button is pressed.

    * To the right of each song is a heart to be clicked on if the user loves the song. So not only do I need them to activate by becoming sparkly upon pressing, but I also need there to be a running count hidden in the page of how many times, each of the 3 "love" buttons has been pushed.

    * I've created graphics to represent each of the 3 songs and a default one for when the player is not in use. So I need help with syncing each graphic to be visible while it's coordinating song is playing and then to return to the default graphic, when nothing is playing.

    I really need someone who has some advanced knowledge of how to code these types of features, without fail. I've already lost so much time on this project. I need all the help I can get quickly and efficiently and it would be great if we can work on skype, as a means to view my files and to learn from you. Again, it's not the design help that I need. That's my forté. It's strictly the coding.

    Please someone rescue me! Thank you in advance.

    You will probably need to hire a flash designer. This is not standard of basic help. Of course it's possible, but with a significant time commitment.

    There are many free players available if you'd prefer to do that, perhaps as a temporary solution. Just search a bit and you'll find lots of options, hopefully one that will work for you.

    Thanks djr133. I was in the middle of writing a more detailed response to your comment, until my daughter once again, played near my mouse and erased the whole thing when I just about done. I'm seeing red at the moment and don't have the patience to retype it again so I'll just ask that you please advise me on how to remove my posts. I don't ever see an edit button where I can delete them.

    Thank you.

    There's no need to delete the posts. You should be able to edit the posts using an edit button located at the bottom of each post, up to a certain period after the original posting (which at the moment you are certainly still in). I'm not sure if you have a full "delete" option.
    Usually we like to keep posts around in case someone else has a similar question. If there's some private information you'd like to have removed, please contact a moderator (including myself) by PM with the details of what you'd like removed.
    For the moment, I will just mark this discussion "Resolved" since it sounds like you've found an answer.
