Minor Help with AJAX script

Hello, I'm trying to integrate the AJAX script for dynamic content (http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamici...jaxcontent.htm) into my site.

If you navigate to the link above to see the demo page, you'll notice the three menu links (Porsche, Ferrari, Aston Martin). How do I add current or selected states to these links? For example, if a user clicks Porsche, how do I attach a behavior to that link that will persist until another link is selected...?
