layering issue - menu vs java advertising

3) Describe problem:
I have installed a menu, but I have an ad that is getting in the way. I would like to have the menu appear above everything else, but when I tried using the zindex in the css that didn't work.

I know you can do it with java, but I have no clue. I'm thinking I need to have it in the java in the hvmenu code.

Any suggestions would be welcome.

Ok... I got the menu to the front, but now nothing works under it
