Page Hit Counter

I would like the script for putting a page counter for a web page. I would like for it to start with 000001. So every time a visitor comes to this page, it would increase by one. I am having trouble writing the code.

hihi as per posted above...i am trying to do a customized counter at my own web page and do not want any service from other corporation like the web recommended above. Is there any code/script that could aid in such a thing whereby i could put the segment of code into my webpage and customize it. Thx.
