ddsmoothmenu IE8 & Safari with Flash

ddsmoothmenu by Dynamic Drive

In the code listed on the site below, I have a few pages, that load with flash underneath the ddsmoothmenu script that do not show properly in IE8 and Safari yet works fine in Firefox. I have read other forum posts regarding the use of the parameter in the flash script "wmode=transparent" yet am not able to get to work correctly. Below is the link to the site and i have inserted the flash code below with the above correcting code.

hi, i opened the link you included and it looks pretty good in chrome... i've read a post about this but i can't seem to find it...

try to look for jscheuer1

i read some of his comments and they seem to fix that kind of problem...try giving him a message about this...

I guess I should Clarify, from the beta.html page, the links in the ddsmooth menu that do not show properly are "Services" and "Visions". They both have drop down menu's that do not drop down above the Flash players. I have read the post: http://www.dynamicdrive.com/forums/s...ad.php?t=45624 and inserted the directions for the extra coding in flash. Still not working properly though.

Hi GoBlueFan9, I have exactly the same problem. Set wmode to transparent only appear to solve the problem on IE but doesn't have effect on Chrome. Searching the web it seems to me that the wmode attribute has many other issues on Chrome, so this solution to the ddsmoothmenu overlaying a flash object (that is in fact the right one in a theorical way) will not work on Chrome for sure. I see that your site is still with problems on Chrome, so I guess you didn't find the solution. So if you know something else, or get new information, please post the solution.
I know this doesn't change a thing, but I'm glad I am not the only one with this problem

Hi GoBlueFan9, new information, and good one!! I solved it. And it is very simple.
Use the wmode="transparent" not only as a param but also in the embed definition.
When I first put the wmode set to transparent as a param it only solved the problem on IE but not in Chrome. If you specify wmode in both PARAM and EMBED it works fine with all browsers.
