For the splash page of my website, I am trying to fix the splash page so the boxes when they expand don't collide on top of each other. What initially I have right now is that there is supposed to be a 66px black line in between each of the pictures.

It works fine in Mozilla, IE9, and Safari. But I can't get it to work in IE8 and below. I was wondering if anyone can help me fix this problem. Any help is appreciated!
