onload resize window help pleease
in this thread here everyone said that onload resize isnt efficient/cross browser compatible. maybe it is, but i swear i've seen it done before (just can't remember where, conveniently enough). either way, i need something a little different from that thread.
i simply want the brower window to open and resize to a 800 pixel width from the onload. its going to be a vertically scrolling site, so i want there to be scroll bars (obviously) ... but i DONT want the user to be able to resize the window's width. i know everything is easier with the pop-up but im making a simple one-page site, so i want everything to load in the window that the address is first entered in. if this really isnt possible, then is it possible to have a pop up window launch when the initial page loads that then kills the initial window? this would at least make the screen less sloppy. thanks fellas.
