    Arrow Twitter!!

I'm really fascinated by the top tweets (the slider which slides down one tweet every 3 seconds or so) displayed on the twitter welcome page (the one before the login and not the users home page). Is there a way to create an embedded code (without use of external library files) in javascript which can be used as a gadget in google sites? Instead of displaying the top tweets (as the gadget on the twitter site does), I would like to display text content of my own in the gadget. Any ideas?

thanks for the reply, the page you posted has exactly the thing i want, but i want only the vertical bar, without the horizontal bar and the buttons that trigger it. I tried tweaking the source code to reduce it only to the vertical bar by eliminating the unwanted elements, but they seem to be interlinked and i failed to do so! I have very little knowledge of javascript and thus am incapable of manipulating such code. Could you pls tweak it for me?

thanks a lot for the code Now i'm left with two problems (hope they are the last ones!):
    1. replacing the image classes by text
    2. i'd like a line separating two text statements

    for example,

    Code:
            txt statement1
         _____________________

            txt statement2

thanks a million, one last problem, the current slider fades in and simultaneously slides down. could you tweak it to first slide down and then the text may fade in and come into view?

    Exclamation double trouble!!

I tried using the embedded code in google sites but the site shows me the
    following error:

    Code:
Unsupported feature: org.apache.shindig.common.xml.XmlException: The content of elements must consist of well-formed character data or markup. At: (88,15)
    embedded code

It does not support scripts, styles or extra attributes, so most codes are used as embedded gadgets. But when i tried to use the above code as an embedded gadget it gives an error! anyway to tweak it?

This code on the other hand works fine:
    working
