Scrollbar placement? Please help! :)

Ok, so first off- I'm still a noob.

I recently put together my own site using Dreamweaver (and various tutorials) to try to get everything working.

My current problem is that I want to add a text box (that will serve as a news area) in a small area on my home page. I want to be able to chronicle a number of different items of information and have it accessible in the same small box by means of a scroll bar (of course)

I can get the scroll bar to appear (by selecting 'auto' for overflow), however I would like it to start 10-20 pix down from the top of the graphic, and I just can't seem to be able to accomplish that.

I've tried different placement settings in the div tag that controls the box specifically, but nothing is working for me.
