jQuery Drop Line Menu IE 8 Not working

Problem 1:- The submenus don't work in IE8
Problem 2:- How to center the submenus in all the Browsers.

For #1, does the problem occur on the DD demo page as well? I just tested it in IE8 Win7, and it seems to work fine. For #2, there is no quick way to center the menu items within the menu bar unfortunately, as this script relies on CSS's float:left to achieve its look, with the drawback of this being the menu items are hard to center this way.
