static menu on left linking to right of page

ok, im definately new to this, but i've got the idea of html and alot about it.

im trying to get a menu to stay static on the left side of the page, and have whatever is clicked on that menu on the left, to appear in a specific area on the right side of the page, and im not sure how to do that, or what to search for here at dd. if you are not sure what im talking about, email me at fry_007@yahoo.com or post here plz

I take it you're using frames?

You need then to specify frame targets. So if you want the link to load in MyFrame, use this link:

<a href="wherever.htm" target="_MyFrame">link text</a>

took some time, but i found it. thanks for the frames help creative!

i found what i was looking for after some searching and re-searching of the scripts i originally cannabalized.
