All Levels Navigational Menu IE8 - Text doesn't display

3) Describe problem: The text doesn't show up for the menu on my site.
When I view http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamici...menu/index.htm, the text displays, but the red arrows do not and the dropdowns don't work.

When I add <meta http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible" content="IE=EmulateIE7" /> to the page, the text shows up but the drop down don't work.
