    Red face Moving a DIV in javascript (with a smooth animation)

    Hey, I was wondering if anyone could tell me how to move a DIV in JavaScript with a smooth animation because I have no idea where to start.

    I've seen hundreds of code examples but none fit my needs. You see, I need the DIV to move EXACTLY where I want it. I need to be able to give it x & y coordinates with an absolute position on the page instead of just telling the DIV layer to move 5 pixels right or 5 pixels down.

    Is this possible?

    And vwphillips I tried your code but the div only moves horizontally!
