Default Anylinkmenu fails in Explorer 8 - Drop down menu doesn't to anchor to the navbar ?

    1) Script Title: anylinkmenu.js

    2) Script URL (on DD): http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamici...pmenuindex.htm

    3) Describe problem: Anylinkmenu fails in Explorer 8 - Drop down menu doesn't to anchor to the navbar ?

The drop down menu feature works very nicely when viewed with Firefox 3.5, Opera 10, and Safari. But it doesn't work when viewed with Explorer 8 I can't determine why.

    Here's the test page: www.cascadingdesign.info/government/default.html

    Here's the coding I used:

    In header:

    [<link rel="stylesheet type="text/css" href="anylinkmenu.css" />
    <script type="text/javascript" src="menucontents.js"></script>
    <script type="text/javascript" src="anylinkmenu.js"></script>
    <script type="text/javascript">anylinkmenu.init("menuanchorclass")</script>]

    In body:

    [<div id="Navtab1"><a href="default.htm;" class="menuanchorclass" rel="anylinkmenu1"> <img src="tab1.jpg" /></a></div>
    <div id="Navtab2"><a href="default.htm;" class="menuanchorclass" rel="anylinkmenu2"> <img src="tab2.png" /></a></div>
    <div id="Navtab3"><a href="default.htm;" class="menuanchorclass" rel="anylinkmenu3"> <img src="tab3.png" /></a></div>
    <div id="Navtab4"><a href="default.htm;" class="menuanchorclass" rel="anylinkmenu4"> <img src="tab4.png" /></a></div>
    <div id="Navtab5"><a href="default.htm;" class="menuanchorclass" rel="anylinkmenu5"> <img src="tab5.png" /></a></div>}

Any insight would be appreciated ! Thanks.

PS: I looked through the threads but I couldn't find a solution to this problem

    Sorry! Try this:

    http://www.cascadingdesign.info/Government/default.html

    Or alternately,

http://www.cascadingdesign.info Then click sample government sites, then
local government for Alberta Ministry of tourism (that where I tried the anylinkmenu script)

Thanks for taking a look see!

    Regards,

This may be a red herring but when I looked at your sample site in IE it looked almost as though the dropdowns were being covered by the photographs rather than overlaying it.
