Possible to modify Image scroller?
1) Script Title: Cross Browser Marquee II
2) Script URL (on DD): http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex2/cmarquee2.htm
I would like to know if it's possible to modify this useful little scroller so that the images scroll in a continuous loop - very much like the Text and Image Crawler that was written by John Scheuer - except that his wonderful script does not seem to support vertical scrolling.
Is it also possible to control whether this Cross Browser Marquee II script can be modified to scroll downwards instead of up. I'm not very familiar with scripting at all but would appreciate any pointers or tips.
Many thanks

Something like this:
http://home.comcast.net/~jscheuer1/s...magemotion.htm
?
It's not documented, but if you want to use it I can walk you through the configuration for your particular use of it. The tie in to lightbox is optional. Requires jQuery.

@jscheuer1
I'm pretty sure that you pasted a file from your computer - and not one online...

Hi John,
many thanks for replying and, I don't know if I'm being a bit thick or not but I can't seem to access the example you've posted....
It might help you if I say I've never heard of jQuery.... I'm all for learning but if it's likely to involve anything particularly complex or difficult to implement, perhaps I'd better just say "thank you" now and leave it at that. I like the boost to the presentation that the scrolling images give, but this isn't a very big site - just something I'm helping a friend with....
Cheers, Alan

The link was wrong, it's:
http://home.comcast.net/~jscheuer1/s...magemotion.htm
also now fixed in the original. The jQuery library is a script of routines used by many other scripts.

Ah yes
indeed - the lower example is exactly what I had in mind... a little difficult to increase the scrolling speed using the mouse, but that's not intended as a criticism, just a comment.
I'm currently busy with Photoshop stuff, would you mind if I get back to you at a later date should we decide to pursue this example of yours?
Many thanks for your help thus far.
Alan
