iFrame scroller bouncing problem

I'm using the iFrame scroller code to show a rolling script of annoucements. Most of the time on the intial page load the scroller sits there bouncing a line or two and hanging. Any ideas on why? By the way, I'm using IE 6.0. It seems to work fine in Firefox. Oh, and it's running in a .jsp application.
