3) Describe problem: I want to have a new image load when the page is refreshed, or reloaded on return. I understand you use cookies to do this, and it is somewhere under persist. I'm just not sure what to change, and where

Just change the value for persist to true in your on page declaration, example:

Requires that the browser have cookies enabled. Most do.
