Question Ultimate Fade-in slideshow and Safari

    1) Script Title: Ultimate Fade-in slideshow

    2) Script URL (on DD): http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamici...nslideshow.htm

    3) Describe problem: Although Safari is not a listed supported browser, is there a known fix? User on an iMac using Safari sees only a white box where the show is located on the page.

Currently we test scripts on DD in Safari for Windows (which works btw). I don't have access to a Mac at the moment unfortunately. But for future reference, what version of Safari are you using?

You may be using an older version. Version 1.5 did not work in Safari 2.x+. From version 1.51 of the script to present, all modern Safari browsers have had no problems with the script itself, though conflicting layouts, css, or other scripts might present a problem for Safari and/or other browsers.

What version of Safari are you using? Support for Safari 1.x was dropped with version 2.0 of this script, which is currently at version 2.1.

That may or may not make a difference. In all likelihood the script should be fine in that browser. I have Safari 4.0.4 for Windows, and the script works fine in that. How does the demo page here:

    http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamici...nslideshow.htm

work in that browser? If it works OK, then it's something (probably innocent) you did or didn't do in your implementation. If the above demo has problems in the MAC Safari 4.0.4, then it might be the browser (not that the browser is wrong, though it may be, just that there is something about it that doesn't allow it to display this extremely cross browser script). Are you sure javascript is enabled in it? Are there other settings in it that might be a problem? Do other scripts have problems? If you want more help:
