Ajax Tabs -- how to not show first/default tab as selected

3) Describe problem: I'm trying what I hope is an easy question this time, but I'm stuck on it. I've got default text set as instructed and it's showing up fine for my first tab. I would like for tab 1 that shows the default text to start the page, but not to show the selected tab image to start. The instructions seem to indicate it is possible to do this, but I'm stuck on getting it to work. (I do not have a class of "selected" set for tab 1). thanks!
