Internet Explorer 8 Window won't close DHTML Modal window v1.1

1) DHTML Modal window v1.1

3) Describe problem:
The scripts works great on firefox and opera, but not on IE 8
When You click the close .gif it won't close!

Any adjustments to code anyone knows of?

Does this happen on the DD demo page as well for you? Using IE8, it seems to work for me.
