Internet Explorer enlarging pages

I am new to building web sites and I am currently helping a friend build one that is primarily for displaying photographs.

The problem I am having is that when I view the site in Internet Explorer on a LCD (or equivelent) monitor all the graphics and the site in general are enlarged. This causes a problem with the images as they are distorted.

If I open the site with Firefox (on any type of monitor) or in IE on a CRT monitor the problem doesnt occur.
