seperating tabs menu on to two different areas of site

3) Describe problem: I wish to seperate the Tabsmenu onto two different areas of my site but still use the same sub menu area. Or hide some of the links in the tab menu but still be able to have their relevant sub menu [selected] on cerrtain pages, Is this possible?
