There's no easy way to add a delay to the sub menu's disappearance unfortunately. I'll look at adding such a feature into the script in the next 2 weeks.

    Thumbs up

This would be an EXCELLENT add. I have been waiting for this option to be added for a long time. My users have been asking for a delay for this menu for some time now. The menu currently is extremely sensative and they become frustrated with how quick the menu disappears after a mouseout event fires.

Any anticipated date as to when this will be implemented?

    Thanks!!!

I would like to have a delay before the menu's appearance to prevent a cascade of drop downs when a user accidentally moves the cursor across the menu bar. If no mouseout event before the end of the delay, display the menu.

It seems that this would be the same type of function as the one above.

Barring any technical issues, probably before this Friday.

Anyone else having problems with the menu closing while still in a logical hover position in Firefox Mac Version 3.5? Version 3.6 just came out about a week ago and I am noticing a bug in the older version (which is still active) where the menu closes out or opens and closes when it shouldn't, when you are still in the hover position.

If you look at this, notice how it closes when you hover over the 2nd (and 3rd) sub level navigation item on the "our work" tab.

    Any ideas anyone?

    Thanks! The delays work perfectly.

@kaylee_girl, I see that problem on Mac FF 3.5 too, but only with your web page. It works fine on all the other ddsmoothmenu pages I've tried. I also noticed that your menu items shift right and left when you mouse over and mouse out of a menu. It looks like a problem with your CSS, and it is somehow triggering the Mac FF 3.5 bug to cause the menu to open/close when you hover. If you can figure out how to change your CSS to prevent the R/L shift, the FF bug won't get triggered.
