School Events Calendar

Hello.

I'm looking for a Calendar to use on a school website. It will be used to show any events or closures during the school year. It would be placed on a page on its own with no other content.

I was thinking that it would follow the proper month but allow visitors to view any month from a drop down menu.

The entire month would be displayed on the page and the days with any events would be highlighted in a different colour. The visitor could then hover/click a date to have it enlarged so that they can read it.

Different colour highlights for Holidays, Exams, Study, User defined.

Events could be preloaded into the Calendar and nobody except the "Admin" would be able to add/amend information. Prevent visitors being able to add events.

If anyone knows of such a Calendar or can throw one together, that would be great.

Take a look at Mr. Pikes calendar at [URL="http://calendar.pikesys.com/"] I have used it for several years at [URL="http://home.mindspring.com/~pmyc100"] Just click on the "events calendar" to see race schedule. Hope this helps.

Haha, I'm looking for the same thing XD
Currently we use Google Calendar, it's great! except we would like to be able to customize it more, but for you it seems it could be perfect. You should check it out
