    Default itunes alternative?

Does anyone have recommendations for a good alternative to itunes? I've seen good reviews of things like mediamonkey, sharepod, and songbird. Any pros/cons/favorites? please share. I hate itunes.

I had somebody use SharePod with their iPod because they were using Windows 2000 and couldn't run the latest iTunes. And I'll say I found it simple and VERY easy to use.

Apparently they agreed when they upgraded to XP they kept SharePod rather than iTunes.

I don't own an iPod so I can't comment, I use Evil Player for music since it's so light on resources but works great. I don't use any sort of manager really. I just tag and go haha.

I did use the Zune manager one time and I liked that! Stupid proprietary software or not that was some fun software! I'm not sure what your using this for, I would guess syncing with an iPod?

yeah, syncing. My son had a generic music player that we could just drag-and-drop to, but he got an actual ipod for christmas so now he just *has* to use it. Kind of a pain.

    Thanks!

In that case I hear SharePod is the least buggy and most updated as far as keeping up with Apple's attempts to block syncing so I recommend it.

Hahahaha well your the dad it's your job to make things work, so get on it Jk, good luck.
