    Default Dynamic Drive Firefox

Dynamic Drive isn't working for me in Firefox 3.5.6 on a mac. All other websites load for me in ff 3.5.6, I can do a screen capture if you can't reproduce it.

Yea, it's working for me now it wasn't though for a bit. I'll try and capture it with a screen capture next time. It was weird cause I the title bar loaded and the full source code was viewable but the content never loaded.

Sounds like you may have been in offline mode or that the connection with the DD server was poor or not at all.

If this really is a browser issue, then you should be able to use another browser at the same time that does not have the problems. If so, and that happens again, it's an issue. If not, that's just server/ISP/connection problems. It happens once in a while.

So it's not a dynamic drive issue but either my computer or FF, not sure which. It's now happened to facebook and my server today also. Attached is a screen capture showing it. It only appears to happen to php pages.

Any ideas on which it would be or any other tests I could narrow it down with? Thanks.

Most likely it's just network traffic of one sort or another. This includes (for the purposes of this post) your local network connection, bandwidth and other conditions on the network (internet) in general, and conditions on the remote server). Happens to us all at times, in various browsers. Usually all you have to do is refresh the page. If it's the server though, you will have to wait until the server recovers from whatever bottleneck it's experiencing. Though less common, any other sort of network issue may also require some time to resolve. Just make sure the browser is not in offline mode, and that your network connection is functioning properly. Other than that, I'd say it's beyond your control.

With PHP pages often there are more than one server involved in sending you the various elements and resources of the content. I know that Dynamic Drive Forum is like that, ddadmin has mentioned it on at least one occasion. In a case like that, you are at the mercy of the efficient functioning of the network and the other things I've mentioned, as well as the two or more servers involved.

Pages on DD are not PHP based though, unless you're talking about the forums and CSS Library sections.

Yes, I was referring to the forums specifically, my server the php pages weren't working either, and facebook as well, never at the same time. I don't see how/why it would be though since the php isn't being processed by firefox.
