Default Smooth navigational menu compatibility with IE6?

    1) Script Title: Smooth Navigational Menu (v1.31)

    2) Script URL (on DD): http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamici...smoothmenu.htm

    3) Describe problem:

    Hi,

I have deployed the menu on IE7 succesfully but it seems does not work properly on IE6 (see strange behaviour on URL screenshot picture when surfing on dynamic drive page using IE6)

    http://zip.to/alfons/cursos/smooth_menu_IE6.jpg

Since I'm using currently IE7 (menu works properly on it) I have done IE compatibility checks using MultipleIEs soft (see at tredosoft.com/Multiple_IE).

My question is: the strange behaviour that appears on attached picture is "real" or correspond to a bug in MultipleIE platform?

Has anyone checked if current menu smooth version works on IE6?

Let me apologize for repeating the question on different threads, but the other one where the question appeared has been solved

    Thanks

I see the issue as captured in your screenshot in IE6, though this only happens the first time you mouse over the last menu item in the vertical menu. Subsequent mouse overs clears the problem.

This looks like a CSS issue with the script in IE6. IE6 is very sensitive when it comes to this, and one small tweak and changes to the CSS can either solve the issue, or break the menu entirely. If I have time I'll investigate further, though to be honest, IE6 is low on my priority list as I look to IE7 as the baseline IE browser in which to support.

    thanks,

Unfortunately to me, project requirements include full suport to IE6: I am not able to create a menu like this from scratch. Could you recommend me (including paying solutions) some alternative?

    thanks
