    Default Simple Email Confirmation/OR cc form

    I want a form to send a simple email confirmation to the user who enters their name in the email field of the form. How can I accomplish this in the simplest way. The for already send the submissiom to a certain address. Can I somehow include the address they just entered into that field as well...

    for instance

    <input type="hidden" name="to" value="tino@lalala.org, email">

    with email being the input name="email"

    is there some way to accomplish this?

    You could try to rewrite thatelement.value to thatelement.value + ', theiremail@example.com', but this might not work with the form mailer you are using.

    This is not a question for Javascript, really, because it can be done a lot better with the serverside language you are using to actually send the email. Did you write a PHP (or other language) script for this, or are you using a form mailer service? If you are using a service, it will not allow you to modify the actual code for sending the email, so you may have to fake it with Javascript. But be warned-- if you do that, it won't be 100% reliable because not all users have javascript.

    Read that for some background information on Javascript, PHP, etc., and see what you think about how to best approach this situation. We need more information from you though if you want more specific help.
