Ultimate Fade-in slideshow - Chrome/Safari issue?

3) Describe problem: the version I'm using is v1.5, which runs the same and has done so properly now for over a year. BUT, I've a site where when viewed in IE7 or IE8 or FF, the script runs properly....but not in the latest Chrome or Safari browsers.

Both of these complain that there is a javascript error on line 130, with an undefined var. When I comment out that one line it runs fine in both...course that affects the fades of the slideshow...which I'd like to maintain....

Can someone offer what a 'fix' would be to this javascript handler?
