Updating items on multiple pages?

Hi,

A lot of websites have various bits that I presume change automatically, rather than the webmaster having to go through every single web page and change it manually, an example is www.football365.co.uk; The news/fixtures/results/tables bit is the same on every page and I'm guessing they don't go through every page and change them.

Any help on how to get this?
